About Valley Voices

MAP

Originally set up in 2013 in partnership with Roots Around the World, Valley Voices typically have about 50 choir members.

There are no auditions, and we welcome new members throughout the year. Just come along and give it a try!

We are predominantly an acapella choir which means we sing without accompaniment, although are sometimes visited by a guest accompanist..!

We usually sing in SATB , but you don't have to know which of these you might be before you join. Just come and listen and find a part that suits you.

In 2015 and 2016 Valley Voices triumphed at the Chichester Festival for Music, Dance and Drama, coming top of the class in the Community Choirs category!

“What a treat for those who come Valley Voices to forget all their problems and just concentrate on the music! Emily has a wonderful talent and is able to teach us a song in four part harmony in half an hour. Her enthusiasm and patience never falters even when we struggle to get the right notes, and she knows exactly how hard to push us. She is an excellent teacher and I can't praise her highly enough. So if you hear anyone singing 'Dream, dream, dream' to themselves you can be sure it is a member of the Valley Voices choir!”
