Community Choirs in West Sussex
Emily trained at Paul McCartneyʼs Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (LIPA) from 1999 - 2002 gaining a BA (Hons) Music specialising in singing and songwriting. Emily remained in the North West working as a musician, choir leader and session singer, working extensively with renowned acapella choir and BBC Radio 3 choir of the Year Sense of Sound as both a workshop and course leader and as a choir member, before moving to Sussex in 2009.
Emily now works freelance with a variety of organisations, including Sing Up, Trinity College, Snape Maltings, West Sussex Music. Emily runs several Community Choirs and provides vocal consultancy to schools and vocal groups. She runs workshops and courses for singers and training sessions for teachers and people working with young people.
Emily has written many original contemporary songs for young people and community choirs including a rock/opera nativity, and curriculum based song books, and really enjoys making acapella arrangements for West Sussex Sings Choirs to perform.
Emily is a performer in her own right, recently touring with artists as diverse as Russell Watson and Francis Rossi and regularly performs at gigs and festivals.
